Where do the public descriptions appear?

My organisation → Description introduces your organisation or community group on its public sleigh selection page. Sleighs → edit a sleigh → Description appears beneath that sleigh’s title on its own public tracking page and on its card on the organisation page. A blank sleigh description shows no introduction; it does not reuse the organisation description. The Organised by link leads back to the organisation page. The sleigh page has Live Map, Route & Stops and Updates tabs.

Where do roads, stops and organiser messages appear?

For each visit, enter one road per line under Collection dates → Route information → Roads covered / route information. These appear as wrapping pills under Route Information in Route & Stops. Optional stops and their approximate times appear under Scheduled Stops for the selected visit. Public updates are organiser messages for that visit, including delays or changes. They appear in Updates and under Message from the organiser for the visit; the current message also appears on the live map. Use the visit-date selector to browse other dates.

How does location sharing work?

Your volunteer downloads the Track The Sleigh app and enters the private ten-digit sleigh ID supplied by the organiser. This links their phone to the correct sleigh in your organisation account. Allow foreground and background location access, then tap Start tracking from 30 minutes before the advertised visit time. Early locations stay private. Keep the phone in the towing vehicle with mobile data available. Families follow in their browser. The dashboard Help section contains the full Android and iPhone volunteer guide.

Where do I find my sleigh code?

Your organiser can find each private ten-digit ID in Sleighs in the dashboard. Ask your organiser for the code for the sleigh you’ll be tracking.

Do families need an app?

No. Families open your public link in their web browser without an account.

When should we stop sharing?

Stop tracking when the sleigh is off duty. Stopping on the phone pauses uploads and allows a restart within the scheduled visit. The organiser finishes the event, or it ends at its scheduled finish time. Extend the finish time beforehand if needed.
